Founded in 1893, Kellerei-Cantina Andrian is Alto Adige’s oldest cooperative, brings together 60 growers farming 80 hectares of hillside vineyards on the western side of the Adige Valley. This broad, south-facing stretch of the valley benefits from abundant sunshine. Warm, dry days are balanced by cooling alpine influences that preserve freshness and aromatic lift. Sheltered by the Gantkofel, the gently sloping vineyards overlook the river below and are rooted in a complex interplay of quartz porphyry, dolomite, and limestone soils, over altitudes up to 800m. A philosophy of low-yield, hand-tended viticulture meets restrained, quality-focused approach in the cellar, shapes wines of remarkable purity and site expression.
