Cordero di Montezemolo is a historic, family-owned Barolo estate based in La Morra. Its roots date back to 1340, which began the 19-generation stewardship of the Monfalletto property that continues today. At its core lies a rare, contiguous 28-hectare single-body vineyard (unusual in a region typically defined by fragmented holdings) supplemented by additional sites spread across nearby communes and including a site in the Villero Cru (used to produce the Barolo Enrico VI). Cordero focuses on indigenous Piedmontese varieties, particularly Nebbiolo, grown on calcareous marl soils in a cooler western Barolo expression known for finesse and aromatic complexity. Certified organic since 2017, the approach combines long-standing tradition with a structured, site-driven philosophy, producing wines that emphasise elegance, precision and longevity
