Howard Park Miamup Chardonnay

Howard Park Miamup Chardonnay

Selected from individual vineyard blocks and clones, the majority of fruit for Howard Park’s entry Margaret River Chardonnay is from estate vineyards in Willyabrup. Fermentation is in a combination of older French oak and stainless-steel. The lees are stirred from the end of fermentation and throughout the malolactic, then maturation is for around for 10 months on lees.

“This is cracking value for an excellent Margaret River Chardonnay… An elegant and complete Chardonnay with gentle oak integration, the nose reveals aromas of citrus, melon, peaches and hints of jasmine. There is focus and balance here, with a fine line of acidity. Good freshness throughout and very good length… Excellent buying.” Ken Gargett, Winepilot

“Several different blocks and clones have contributed to a very tidy young Chardonnay. A feature is its texture and beautiful mouthfeel with flavours of melon, light cashew and a little melon. The oak has been lightly applied with just a small amount of new oak to lift and spice things up. Further complexity comes from the lees stirring approach. A balanced and highly appealing Chardonnay.” 93 points, Ray Jordan, Wine Pilot
