Howard Park’s Scotsdale Shiraz is sourced from selected vineyards in the Frankland River subregion of Western Australia’s Great Southern, a cool continental region renowned for producing Shiraz with intensity, structure and finesse. Fruit from the Burch family’s best vineyard sites is hand-picked, hand-sorted and fermented in a combination of open and closed fermenters, with selected parcels matured in French oak to enhance complexity while preserving regional character. The lateritic gravel soils and long growing season of Frankland River consistently produce wines displaying complex and concentrated dark fruit flavours, layered with notes of spice, earth, florals and chocolate.
