In a region built on tradition, Contadi Castaldi helped redefine what modern Franciacorta could be. Founded in 1987 by Vittorio Moretti, the project began not in a vineyard but within the walls of the historic Fornace Biasca brickworks in Adro, a nineteenth-century industrial landmark transformed into a winery at the heart of Franciacorta. Today, Contadi Castaldi draws on a vast mosaic of vineyard sites across the denomination, combining detailed terroir knowledge, meticulous blending and extended lees ageing to craft sparkling wines that are both accessible and distinctly regional.
