In 1998, he purchased a neglected vineyard in Paracombe, high in the Adelaide Hills, and set about transforming it into a family-run wine estate. Today, Totino spans more than 100 acres, with 80 acres under vine, producing a range of cool-climate wines that reflect both the character of the Adelaide Hills and the family’s Italian heritage. From Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon to Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese, the wines combine European inspiration with distinctly Australian terroir, crafted from estate-grown fruit grown on some of the oldest soils found anywhere on earth.
