Majella’s estate grown Riesling comes from the Silica block, planted 30 years ago. The policy with Riesling here is to keep the fruit as pure as possible, so grapes are gently pressed with very limited skin contact, and fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks. The wine is always bottled young to retain crispness.
2025
“This wine once again shows its pretty and delicate floral side this vintage, with lilies, frangipani and lemon skin. Some quince and Jonathon apples, too. A thorough wash of acidity and some kernel grains add texture across the palate. Bone dry, with a firm, fresh finish. This is perfect outdoor drinking, with low alcohol and plenty of citrus flavour. Great value.” 92 points, Shanteh Wale, Halliday Wine Companion

2024
From an exceptional winegrowing season with warm, dry days and cool nights, the fruit from the 2024 vintage was low yeilding but beautifully pure in character. Fragrant red fruit floral aromas give way to a mouthful of pretty strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit notes. A soft and finely textured structure keeps things light and refreshing while flavours linger gently on the palate, across a pleasantly soft finish.
